The Iron Triangle of Project Management Success

The first draft of the following lesson plan was devised when I completed the University of the Witwaterstrand short course in Teaching with Technology. The purpose of the assignment was to plan a lesson or a lecture that showed how one or more technologies can be used to enhance the effectiveness of teaching. I have adjusted the plan itself for the purposes of this portfolio, and created some of the materials that could be used in the lesson.

For this assignment, I conceptualised a two-hour online “lecture” comprising several activities that would allow students to understand the concept of the iron triangle within the field of project management.

The initial planning documentation for this lecture can also be viewed, as can the first draft attempt at the student assessment.

  • Video script: Note that in reality this script would be previewed and signed-off by a subject-matter expert. The layout of the script also assumes that the instructor would have a Teleprompter during recording. The script can be viewed here.
  • Branching scenario: The branching scenario diagrammatic plan can be viewed here, with a written explanation expanding on the path students can take here. The scenario itself has not been created in full for the purposes of this portfolio.
  • Assessment: The first draft of the student assessment can be viewed here.
