Today’s the kickoff of a brand-new project—a course and resource hub designed to help our university community meet the upcoming ADA Title II requirements for online learning.
It’s not just about compliance. It’s about building a learning environment where accessibility is the starting point, not an afterthought.
My role? Lead the design and development of a comprehensive online guide in the form of a fully ADA-compliant model course in Canvas, and training materials that faculty and instructional designers can actually use, full of real, actionable tools to help people make their courses better for everyone.
I’m especially excited about our “teach-to-fish” approach—giving people the confidence to build accessible materials themselves, rather than relying on retroactive fixes.
The scope is big, the timeline is tight, and the impact is potentially transformative. I feel ready, energized, and deeply proud to be part of something that will support more equitable learning across campus.
Let’s do this.
