As part of my ongoing work to support inclusive and accessible teaching practices, I created a series of accessibility checklists tailored for instructors using common digital platforms and tools. These checklists were developed to simplify the process of creating accessible content—breaking down key considerations and highlighting both automated and manual checks. From documents in Word and Google Docs, to presentations in PowerPoint, to course materials in Canvas and PDFs, each checklist offers practical, actionable steps grounded in WCAG guidelines and UDL principles.
Designed as a support resource at my institution, these checklists empower instructors to identify and address accessibility barriers in their course materials without being overwhelmed. Whether someone is just getting started with accessibility or looking to refine their approach, the goal is to foster an ongoing, sustainable practice of inclusive design.
